Born in Ashiya, Hyogo Prefecture,Japan. Completed the master’s course at Tokyo University of the Arts and its graduate school. Has composed and arranged a wide range of instrumental and choral pieces. In particular, she has composed many choral pieces and piano pieces for children, which have been performed at competitions and other events.

My first encounter with Meida’s music was 〈Powder Snow Fantasy.〉I felt that it was a very carefully cut-out scene from a snowy country, and I was delighted. As with the collection 《Morning Sketches,》 each piece has a universal beauty without being too difficult, and is also a little mature……I think she writes music that trusts the sensibilities of children. I really like 〈Preparing Breakfast,〉 and whenever I play it, it makes me feel cheerful and a little excited.
