overview |
A collection of short pieces composed in the style of the Romantic period. This is also(following J.S.Bach) “24 Preludes” composed using whole key. It is a collection of pieces aimed at getting a sense of the characteristics of romantic works in preparation for playing the works of romantic masters. It is an arrangement of tunes in which major and minor keys of the same name are paired. |

C Major A 16th note like the leaves whispering in the woods. To make the highest note of the melody line stand out, play it softly and modestly. Even with the overall soft pedal and calm atmosphere, you have to set where the peak of the music is and create the flow of the music. Otherwise, it will just sound vague and fragmented. The first peak is [8]. The second peak is [13].Here, I don’t think it’s a scene that raises the volume so much, but shortening the ascending quarter notes of C, D, and E in [5] reaches C one octave higher on the second beat. The dominant 7th chord in F major appears on the left hand, creating a calm atmosphere. From [16], the note value of the left accompaniment becomes longer, the movement becomes less, and the atmosphere becomes calmer, and the sound seems to recede. |
Seascape | C1 | ♫ |
c minor Jumping and hand crossing are important points. The key is how your arms grasp the keyboard position correctly, so practice at a slower tempo at first. In order to express the scene of the piece, you should be able to play at the indicated tempo in the end. It’s a piece that depicts a raging seascape well, so express the difference in dynamics. The first beat of [17] is quite interesting. The impression changes depending on how long the fermata here is and how long it takes before the second beat is played. |

An Old Valentine | B2 | ♫ |
F Major As the title says “Old”, it is a piece that makes you feel nostalgic. [6]: Refrain from [5]. Intend to play in the sound of [5]. [9]: The theme reappears. The sound used is different from the beginning, and the atmosphere changes, so I want to play with a pp but full sound. It is not necessary to suppress the sound of the left hand too much (within pp). [15]-[16]: A romantic chromatic progression on the left hand is good. Play the 3rd beat of [15] impressively. |
