> 10 Very Easy Pieces for Piano Op.43-1

overview
Each piece has an easy, beautiful melody and harmony, and some mysterious sounds, a level of fulfillment that you don’t often find in collections of this level.
As the title suggests, most of the pieces can be played by beginners, and the three collections in Op.43, including this one, are technically easy, and seem to have been written for children.

comment / how to practice
1.Spring MoodB1
The zigzag shape of the sound seems to be a nervous feeling waiting for spring. The melody goes up and down, and it feels like spring is coming, but it’s not coming.
★about playing
All the quarter notes in the left hand are not played on the first beat (all measures start on a rest), so don’t make it too heavy.
[6][7]Let’s play the chromatic progression in the upper voice of the left hand a little more prominently.
2.RaceB1
Practicing scales. The double notes with ♭ inserted throughout the piece create a sense of tension, and even without hearing the title, you can tell that the piece somehow represents a “race”.
★about playing
I want to play long scales smoothly. To do this, avoid moving your wrists up and down too much or twisting your wrists or elbows when doing finger loops.
3.Alarming LullabyB1
A piece with an atmosphere that makes you feel sleepy but can’t.Go back and forth between major and minor keys. The sound is questionable, but since it’s a lullaby, it’s best to play it gently overall.
★About playing
For the slur that spans two notes in the left hand, make the second note a little lighter and less powerful.
4.Sad MelodyB2
Although the range is not wide, it has three voices. I want to enjoy the moment when the beautiful chords line up vertically while carefully listening to the horizontal connections between each voice.
★About playing
Practice separately for each voice.
5.DanceB2
If you play with detailed articulations accurately, your performance will be very lively and enjoyable. Although it is a short piece with only one page, it is a piece that features various expressions. Be careful not to overlook the increasing number of accidentals.
★About playing
At the bottom of the score, there is a comment from the composer that says, “Measures 9-16 can be omitted. In that case, please repeat measures 1-8.”
6.Carefree SongB1
As the title suggests, this is a carefree piece from start to finish. The tenuto eighth note at the back of the second beat is a little languid, but it’s fine.
★About playing
It is interesting to note that a note like [1] can be clearly played as ♫+♩ to differentiate it from long slur phrases like [5] to [7].
[7]~ The melody will be carried over to your left hand, so try to play freely with your left hand without making the sound in your right hand too loud.
7.Like WaltzB1
The rhythm that you first imagine when you hear the word “waltz” does not appear at all. Perhaps the key is to make it “like” a waltz.
★About playing
Although there are almost no dynamic markings written on the score, it is beautiful and gives a sense of dynamism when the music is expanded, subtracted, or intoned according to the flow of the sound.
8.Field SongB2
It’s not complicated, but it has 4 voices.
9.Ancient StoryB2
The left-hand 5th overtone and the church mode melody give it an “ancient” feel.
★About playing
The fermata is placed at the time of a scene change or when the story is handed over to the narrator, so take your time and move on to the next note.
10.MarchB1
In the end, it seemed like a bright victory.
★About playing
Let’s play B♭ in [6] to make it resonate well.
Make sure that the rhythm of the dots does not become loose. (Once you get used to it, it becomes easier to form a triplet)
