Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
1756-1791
A composer representing the Viennese classical school, who was called a “child prodigy”. Born in Austria. He received a musical education from his father, Leopold, and has been traveling to concerts since he was a child. He is a prolific composer who wrote 639 pieces (more than 900 pieces including fragments) in his short life of 35 years.
His major works include the operas 《The Marriage of Figaro》, 《Don Giovanni》, 《The Magic Flute》, Serenade《Eine Kleine Nachtmusik》, Symphonies 《No. 40》and 《No.41:Jupiter》, 《Turkish March (piano sonata No. 11, 3rd movement)》, etc. There is no end to the list. Many pieces are in major keys and are characterized by bright simplicity. He is a special A-class composer whose melody has been heard somewhere, at least everyone knows his name. He was also surprised by the number of various sites that come up when searching for “Mozart.”
There was a time when he was active during his lifetime, but he had a habit of spending money and received only cheap jobs, and his later years were spent in poverty. In the end, they were buried in a communal cemetery and no one knows where their bodies are. The bright, splendid, and easy-going music sought by the aristocrats and the wealthy class of the time and the direction of Mozart’s artistic music gradually became inconsistent. This is also believed to be one of the reasons for such treatment. However, his brilliant work, which is clear yet filled with sorrow and shadow, has not lost its brilliance even today, over 250 years later.
【Q.What is your favorite piece?】
mezzopiano)《The Marriage of Figaro Overture》. My chest rises and itches. 《No. 11》 and 《No. 18》 from piano sonatas. 《Turkish March》 in the third movement of 《No. 11》 is extremely famous, but no one else can write the beauty of the first movement. Please listen in full from the beginning to the third movement. 《The Turkish March》 will also have a different flavor. It’s painful if you play like you can play only energetically (personal opinion). 《No. 18》 is supposed to be a bright D major piece, but for some reason it feels a little lonely. Is it because it is the last piano sonata? I especially like Mozart’s slow movements, not just piano pieces. This beauty is heavenly. No, I don’t think it’s from this world, and it’s hellish to go around.
